its all about Him

1 Corinthians 10:31
"So, whethere you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God."

haha, sounds familiar? to the people who goes to CPC will know that this is really familiar! its on the back of our program!

if you took the time and just meditate on this verse, you'll see that in this world, in WHATEVER we DO, it should always glorify God.

whether its really really really really big test or a just a single breath, God should always be glorified.

even through our suffering, it sucks, but its to glorify God.

Suffering sucks, it really does.

Today in Sunday School, i learned about the Soldier, the Athlete, and the Farmer.
sounds familiar? yeah, its kuya mark pakingan's blogspot. hahah.

anyways!
2 Timothy 2:3-8

The Soldier- verse 3-4 "Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him."
---When a soldier fights for their country, there is a lot of suffering right? Think of the soldiers right now, they fight to defend our country. This verse tells us that as soldiers of Christ Jesus, we should get our share of suffering. Also, that as soldiers of Christ Jesus, we should not get mixed in with this world. We shouldn't follow the ways of this world, but the ways of Jesus Christ who died on the cross for OUR sins.

The Athlete- verse 5 "An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules."
---Rules. yeeeep, there are rules! and we cant cheat our way through these rules. Its pretty straight forward, you cant be crowned if you cheated your way through the rules. Relating this to us, we should always follow the rules. Cheating won't get you anywhere. God is sovereign, and just. He knows everything. So really, there isn't an easy way out.

The Farmer- verse 6 "It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops."
--- As a hard-working farmer, you should always get the first share of the crops. Ought=must . they both have the same meaning, meaning that we MUST have the first share of the crops.

Being a good soldier of Jesus Christ is really hard when your in a world of sin and worldly surroundings, but with God, He will always give us understanding and wisdom.

---

It's all about Him and will always be about Him.

all for Him,
Jeremae
