Holiness

In this world, I've seen some "Christians". They say they are Christians, but when you see them in places out of the church, they are a WHOLE different person. And to tell you the truth, I used to be that kind of person. But not anymore, because God has changed me.

I've learned that being a Christian, who we are infront of everyone is our public testimony. If we cuss/swear, if we hate, if we talk bad about people, if we do things that are wrong in the eyes of God, thats what nonbelievers will see as who Christians really are. Being Christian, is being Christ-like.

question: If we cuss, if we hate, if we talk bad about people, etc...... Is that being Christ-like? Would Christ do that?

What would Jesus do? (WWJD)

1 Peter 1:16 - You shall be holy, for I am holy.
God is holy! (Rev. 4:8, Isaiah 6:3)

1 Thess. 4:7 - For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.

true holiness - be like Jesus Christ!
-we have to seperate as much as we can from sin.

4 Things you can do to cultivate holiness
1. Read His word daily!
2. Keep a tender conscience.
3. Have obedient hearts.
4. live a life fearing God. (meaning out of respect)

Brothers and Sisters in Christ! Let us live holy lives, seperating ourselves as much as we can from sin. Let us keep each other accountable when trying to live holy lives, glorifying our God!
