If my salvation was based on works, I would seriously go to hell because thats what I truly deserve. I sin and sin and sin. My sinful self brings me to tears, that I always disappoint my Father in heaven with my sin. I'm so glad and filled with joy when I hear the gospel over and over again. Because I am reminded of such grace that God has given us. To even have the slightest thought of saving us. And He did by His Son, Jesus Christ. Man! What grace! What love! How could I ever repay Him? I can't because I dont have enough. Nobody does. All I can do is fully give my life to God. I may fall, but I know God is always there to forgive me, pick me up, and go on living a life that is pleasing to Him.
Titus 3:3-7
"For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient,
led astray, slaves to various passions
and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy,
hated by others and hating one another.
But when the goodness and loving kindness of
God our Savior appeared, he saved us,
not because of works done by us in righteousness,
but according to his own mercy,
by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs
according to the hope of eternal life."
