For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
Reading this verse, I was captured. What didn't understand was this. I always asked "why?" while suffering and in pain. WHY?! God told me why. "Jeremae, my ways aren't your ways. Trust in me and you'll know its for your own good."
Did you know that trusting in the Lord is much easier than putting matters in your own hands? I just realized that. Praise God.
So whats been happening lately? Well, I am on my 5th week of college, I had my first exam last thursday (hopefully I did well.) and starting today, its my 3rd term as an officer.
Oh college.... ahh, its alright. Lectures are boring, smaller classes are MUCH more fun. I hope I can stay awake during lectures. I am confident that I will be able to survive my first year of college because God is always with me. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is wih you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9. I was reading "girltalk" (its a blog. http://www.girltalkhome.com/blog check it out!) and they had a blog about those going back to school. And they gave this verse as an encouragement.
3rd term as officer. Totally all God. To tell you the truth, I didn't think I was going to be an officer again. I was going to be in NomCom, but it was full of people already, so I was like "oh, okay hahaha" Then I recieved a call that I was nominated again. I said I would pray about it. And I did, so my decision was that I would accept this nomination only. If it was God's plan and will for me to be an officer again, then it will happen! So interviews came, then elections. I looked at the ballot and there was one person per position. And I said to God, "You're good." Hahah, He is! God worked sovereignly in my decisions. Praise be to God for HE IS GOOD.
I'm excited again for what God has in store for us this year/term. May it always be Christ-centered and God glorifying.
