I can only imagine by Mercy Me
So I just got home from eating out with brothers in Christ at Joe Sushi. I gotta admit, it was pretty good. First time eating that much sushi, and actually my first time LIKING it. The fellowship was great too! All eating, laughing, talking, and more eating. LOL, but what was great was glorifying God in it too!
When I got home, I listened to the song I can only imagine by Mercy Me. I bet a lot Christians know this song. But as I think, do we really know KNOW this song? Well, instead of listening to the tune, I listened to the lyrics. And it just blew my mind away.
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine.
All I can really do for now is imagine what heaven would be like with help with God's word as we read in Revelation.
When I see God face to face, I have no idea how I would react. I know forsure I would cry in joy because I have met my Maker, my Savior, and my Redeemer.
Revelation 7:15-17
"Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
If you read from verse 9, you will understand what this verse means with context.
Its amazing to know that in heaven, we will serve him day AND night. And from enduring our temporary suffering here on earth, will be worth it. To be able to serve and praise Him before His throne. Him wiping away all our tears and that there will be no more suffering and just happiness with our Lord and Savior....
....Oh my goodness, I can NOT wait!
for now, I can only imagine what it would be like.
"Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"
